Donate to Com Fusion Community Clay Center

If you’d like to donate to help us get Com Fusion Community Clay Studio outside of the raffles, this is my crowdfunding page. Why do it here instead of Kickstarter or Go Fund Me? Both of those platforms have additional fees associated with them that dilute the donations. For example a $5.00 donation here, becomes $4.55 after processing fees, and then after taxes, it’s more like a $3.50 donation. This is just meant to explain why our fundraising goals might seem high. ($50,000 raised, is estimated $38,768 after taxes and fees).

Fundraising here on my website, I still need to pay the processing fees, and taxes, but do save on the transaction fees I’d pay if I used the other site. $0.30 per transaction really adds up when your goal is lots of $5.00 donations!

We’re moving in September and my goal is to complete the fundraising by August, so we can start getting set up for phase one: getting residency and guest artist workshops started for early 2025 (maybe even late 2024).

Images below are the future location of our artist residency housing and studio in Carvalhal - Bombarral, Portugal and Mariana’s current studio in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. We’ll begin some of the Community Center offerings from Mariana’s current studio, but space is tight, and we will outgrow it quickly. Resident artists will have access to a studio at the house they’ll stay in AND access to Mariana’s studio for teaching workshops/classes.
